CANINE ASSOCIATION UGANDA

CAU Programs

The Canine Association of Uganda offers several flagship programs designed to support breeders, enhance canine welfare, and promote responsible dog ownership across the nation.

Responsible Breeder Initiative

Our Responsible Breeder Initiative provides education and resources for CAU members committed to ethical breeding practices. Join our comprehensive seminar on genetics, health testing, and ethical breeding standards aligned with international best practices.

National Microchip Drive

Starting January 1st, 2025, all newly registered puppies must be microchipped by an approved veterinarian before pedigree documents can be issued. This initiative ensures animal welfare and helps reunite lost dogs with their owners through our national microchip database.

Canine Good Citizen (Uganda)

The Canine Good Citizen (Uganda) program is designed to recognize and reward well-behaved, properly trained dogs and their responsible owners. This certification demonstrates commitment to responsible dog ownership in our community.
